The Mill

Reimagining a fabric mill for costume designer Jane Petrie, ‘The Wings’ is versatile building with sustainability and connection in mind. Inspired by the concept of a butterfly, movement, fabric, nature, and metamorphosis, the building links the five floors around this ongoing theme. The project focuses on the ‘behind the scenes’ work of designing props and costumes, the process of dyeing fabrics, and an artist’s preparations before their work is presented to the public.
